The Duckworth Laboratory is devoted to the study of human evolution and variation, with particular emphasis on human morphological, skeletal and phenotypic variation. At the core of the Laboratory is its collections which includes skeletal remains from human, primate and other biological materials. The collections consist of human and non-human primate material for research and teaching purposes. Most of these are human osteological materials from around the world, including important palaeopathological samples. The Duckworth collections are kept solely as a source for scientific research. The material and facilities of the Duckworth Laboratory are available to study by bona fide scientists and students affiliated to the laboratory. Applications for affiliation are welcomed by people within and outside the University of Cambridge. Affiliation is for a specified piece of work, and for specified periods of time.
